WQPT is the public television station serving the eastern Iowa and western Illinois region. Our coverage area includes not only the metropolitan Quad Cities, but communities such as Clinton and Muscatine in Iowa and Galesburg, Kewanee, Sterling, Rock Falls and Dixon in Illinois. Over half a million TV viewers have access to WQPT through open air signals or local cable systems. WQPT is licensed to Black Hawk College and operated by a small, but dedicated, staff of 18 individuals. The Board of Trustees of the College, along with the community advisory board of the Greater Quad Cities Telecommunications Corporation, provide guidance for, and oversight of, the station.
