WBGU-PBS signed on the air on February 10, 1964, from a small studio on the Bowling Green State University campus. Today, with a program schedule that is seen every day by thousands of viewers in Northwest and West Central Ohio, WBGU offers much more to the communities its 1 million watt signal reaches. WBGU offers locally-produced documentaries, specials and program series; educational services to help young people and lifelong learners discover and explore new ideas; and a host of outreach activities. WBGU-PBS is much more than just a television station - it's a community asset.
